[00:01.44]I wanna welcome you to the Carly Pearce "Every Little Thing" album release special
[00:05.37]And I've been looking forward to this
[00:07.30]Because for the next hour or so
[00:08.84]We're really gonna dig in, to Carly Pearce's debut album
[00:11.81]And I'm so excited because obviously we can't do that without Carly
[00:14.68]And she's here, hey!
[00:15.79]Hi
[00:16.79]So I gotta tell you, first of all, the fact that this is finally here
[00:22.72]I mean this is something you have dreamt about since you were a little girl
[00:26.10]Growing up in Taylor Mill, Kentucky
[00:28.24]I imagine the thought that your debut album is now out on the shelves
[00:31.73]It's on iTunes, it's everywhere
[00:33.98]There's gonna be a mix of emotions going on with that
[00:36.11]Oh, my goodness, yeah
[00:37.36]I think, just so much excitement, so much hard work but also I just
[00:42.22]I really can't believe it, like I can't believe that I have an album out
[00:46.30]And that I made this dream, that I had as a little girl to be, just a female
[00:52.86]That had the opportunity to maybe be somebody, and
[00:55.83]In country music and make a mark
[00:57.55]Just that that opportunity has kind of, started to bud a little bit
[01:00.80]So I'm just really thankful
[01:02.39]Now when you were younger did you ever like
[01:03.80]Have dreams of going to the store and buying your own album
[01:06.42]Oh, yeah
[01:07.62]Because you know, back when I was in high school and loving music
[01:12.29]We didn't have iTunes and all that
[01:14.62]So we had to go at midnight and buy our favourite albums
[01:17.20]So, yeah, that's how I always dreamt of doing it
[01:20.74]That's so cool
[01:21.48]And you'll be the one with like your face next to your CD
[01:23.88]Oh, you know it
[01:24.83]Nothing here
[01:25.31]Oh, yeah, what is this?
[01:28.70]Well, and you know, there are 13 songs on this album
[01:30.22]I know that you co-wrote eight of them, if I counted correctly (mhm)
[01:33.70]Uhm and we are gonna get into each song individually
[01:36.22]And we're gonna play all 13 tracks
[01:37.95]But just as a general overview for people who are wondering what is in store
[01:42.22]From Carly Pearce's "Every Little Thing" album
[01:44.28]How personal or not personal are these songs?
[01:46.91]Am I gonna know her better after I listen to this?
[01:49.61]What can you tell people about the album as a whole?
[01:51.66]I named the album "Every Little Thing" for two reasons
[01:55.44]Obviously, because of the song, and how it just got everything started for me
[02:00.78]But also I named it this, because
[02:03.37]I feel like you're gonna get to hear every little thing about me
[02:06.12]As far as where my influences are, where I come from
[02:10.57]It definitely is, I'm a songwriter and I love writing songs
[02:13.28]I've been writing songs in Nashville for eight years
[02:15.40]And I feel like I'm telling you my stories
[02:17.49]And telling you every little bit about my personality
[02:20.64]And the kind of woman that I am, and all of those things
[02:23.44]So I think you're gonna get a very good idea of who I am
[02:25.84]And just what I grew up loving and the music that I loved in this album
[02:30.61]And you know one thing that I wanted to mention
[02:31.81]You actually worked with busbee, which is a name people have probably heard
[02:36.28]He did Maren Morris' "Hero" album, I know he's done some work with Keith Urban
[02:40.29]He's worked with Lady Antebellum
[02:41.89]And you actually kind of have a unique situation with him, because
[02:44.67]He wasn't just a producer
[02:46.62]Uh, you guys have, kind of had a long-standing relationship
[02:49.30]Where he sort of cultivated you as an artist
[02:50.75]Am I, am I getting that right?
[02:52.19]Yeah, I was the very first artist that busbee ever signed
[02:57.46]To his own artist development programme
[03:00.12]Along with Daniel Lee, who is a publisher in Nashville at a company called BMG
[03:03.81]They joined forces and signed me as their first developmental act
[03:08.30]Almost three years ago
[03:09.62]And actually on the album, there's a song called "You Know Where To Find Me"
[03:12.78]That we'll get too, but that was the day that busbee and I met
[03:15.35]And I feel like that's the day when I really figured out
[03:18.29]From a production standpoint, who I was
